Quick Q&A:

Often times we are asked what are the real benefits of HID other than looks? Allow us to explain. The light produced by our HID Xenon Headlight Conversion Kit will give you a more "even" spread and better penetration, as well as much improved contrast and reduced eyestrain. This provides a much cleaner light pattern that covers more area, allowing you to easily see objects beside the road approaching it, ensuring a much longer reaction time. Reflectors from road traffic signs, cat-eyes, and vehicles in front of you are picked up at much longer distances, giving you those vital "extra" seconds to react. Our HID Conversion kits are a must a have upgrade for any car, truck, SUV, motorcycle, etc. Let the reviews speak for themselves and order your new HID conversion kit today!

What is better 35 or 55 watt and how do I know which one I need? The major difference in the 35 watt and 55 watt ballast is the brightness. The 55 watt ballast is rated about 25% brighter than the 35 watt version. Don't let this fool you however our 35 watt HID Kit is still 3x brighter than your factory halogen bulbs. Although your vehicle does not require you have either particular one as a general rule we do recommend the 55 watt ballast option for vehicles newer than 2005.

What are the accessories and how do I know if I need any? See our tips below for each to help determine which package you may need if any.

HID Kit AccessoriesRelay Bundle: As a general rule we do recommend our HID Relay Harness with all HID Kits. The relay is designed to help even the power distribution to the HID kit which in some cases can help with failure to ignite and minor flickering problems.

Relay & Capacitor Bundle: Often time, dashboard warning lights will go off (CANBUS error) on vehicles with computer controlled headlamp when an aftermarket HID system is installed. This is common in newer luxury vehicles, German vehicles, Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler to name a few . To overcome this, simply install a pair of capacitors with your HID kit. This accessory will also help with flickering issues that some vehicles may experience.

Relay & Resistor Bundle: The resistors are commonly needed in Dodge trucks as well as other trucks with over powering issues. The HID ballast has a shutoff feature to prevent fire and damage. This feature can be activated by too much power being supplied from the vehicle. The resistor is designed to restrict the power down to the sustainable operating voltages and specifications.

What do you mean by heat color? Color temperature is a characteristic of light that is sometimes misunderstood as brightness, when it's more closely related to cool and warm color tones of light. While cool and warm are words used to describe a light's temperature, it is not how it gets its name. The term temperature when referring to light comes from the idea that there is a black body object that absorbs all wavelengths of light. This theoretical object that you can't physically see is what generates light when it is heated. The black body becomes exited and begins to essentially expel light radially. As the temperature reaches around 1000 degrees Kelvin (a measurement scale invented by Lord Kelvin) the black body becomes visible in the red end of the light spectrum. As it's heated the light color changes towards the cooler tones. So the term color temperature refers to the color that is associated with the amount of heat needed to produce a color. These cooler tones emit a brighter light that is very useful when making automotive headlights because it increases visibility and thus safety.
