Return policy for all HID Auto Vision HID Kits, Parts & Accessories

  • Please note this is the return policy you agree to when purchasing your items from HID Auto Vision. This policy applies to all transaction whether placing an order via telephone or online.

    You may return most new, uninstalled items within 30 days of delivery for a refund. Your refund may be subject to a transaction fee and/or restocking fee. In addition we do not refund shipping. Some restrictions may apply. Once you have installed your product it is now considered used and you will not be issued a refund but are eligible for warranty. All items have a minimum 30 day defects warranty and most have extended warranties. Please check product for warranty length details. If after installation the product is found to be defective, HID Auto Vision will exchange the defective product for a working product, but will not issue a refund. The purchaser is responsible for return shipping to HID Auto Vision. HID Auto Vision will cover shipping of the replacement product back to the customer if the product is found defective within the warranty period. If you would like to return the product for any other reason, you may be subject to a restocking fee or any other fee's we incurred from your transaction.

    HID Auto Vision will also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error i.e.; you received an incorrect or defective item (Dead on Arrival), etc. You must report the issue within 72 hours of receipt to be considered D.O.A. (Dead on Arrival) otherwise it will only be covered under warranty policy. Any shipping reimbursement will be in the form of a credit once the product is received and determined to be defective. We do not provide prepaid shipping labels.

    Any and all special order items or true heat colors are non-returnable and non-refundable NO EXCEPTIONS. See below for more details.

    Please keep in mind we do not refund based on buyer’s remorse. Please ensure that you do need the product you're ordering.

    Products that may not be eligible for refund include but are not limited to:

    • HID Kits, HID Ballasts and HID Bulbs that have been installed in any type of vehicle (Excludes Accessories; warning cancelers, relays and resistors).

      Items that just have been opened and never actually installed in a vehicle are exempt from this section. Items that have been installed are still covered under minimum 30 day warranty for replacement.

    • Any item labeled special order and or has a shipping lead time of more than 24 hours.

      Shipping lead time estimates can be found in the “Availability” section below the price of each product.

    • Items which are not typically stocked in our warehouse.

      Any and all items sold under the brand of the manufacturer fall under manufacturer return policies (see below).

    • Custom items or products.

      Any custom order or custom fabricated items are not eligible for return or refund. No Exceptions!

    Things that may affect your refund amount include but are not limited to:

    • Damage to retail packaging.

    • Installing your product.

    • Damage to product.

    • Writing on retail packaging.

    • Failure to return all contents.

    In the event you order the wrong product HID Auto Vision gives you a 30 day grace period to request an exchange. The customer is responsible for shipping both ways. The product must be new, unopened and uninstalled in order to exchange the item. The customer is also responsible for any difference in price between the incorrect and correct item needed. We will not refund due to customer error. We will only issue a store credit or exchange.

    You must have an "approved" return authorization number or your return package will be refused up arrival.

    Note: HID Auto Vision HID Conversion Kits are NOT specifically designed or manufactured for any particular year, make or model. All of our HID Conversion Kits are aftermarket substitutes based on the original bulb size that came with your particular vehicle. Some vehicles will require additional accessories or specific ballasts in order for the kit to function properly. HID Auto Vision is not responsible for any additional items needed in order to make our kits function with your specific vehicle. We do our best to inform customers about the most compatible option for their vehicle. These recommendations do not imply you are purchasing a kit that is specifically designed for your vehicle. The customer is responsible for purchasing the additional accessories if needed. In the event that an additional accessory is needed HID Auto Vision will help determine which item is needed to correct the symptom you are experiencing. Once your kit has been opened and installed HID Auto Vision is not obligated to accept a return for refund due to an additional accessory being needed. Please ensure before you purchase a HID Conversion Kit for your vehicle you are fully aware of all the terms listed above.

    We provide more than enough information regarding accessories and compatibility as well as offering all accessories as optional packages with all kits. Please ensure before you purchase a HID Conversion Kit for your vehicle you are fully aware of all the terms listed above. Under no circumstances is HID Auto Vision liable for a refund on any item that has been installed in a vehicle and found to need additional accessories. In addition HID Auto Vision carries any and all items that may be needed to make a particular vehicle function properly with your new HID's.

    Return Policy for Spyder Auto Products

    1. All returns require an RMA (returned merchandise authorization) number authorized by HID Auto Vision. All authorized returns may be subject to a minimum 20 % restocking fee.

    2. Returns must be made within 14 days of receipt. All returns will be issued as credit, not a refund. Non-defective items are not eligible for return or exchange after the 14 day period. NO EXCEPTIONS.

    3. Items returned without an approved RMA number will be refused and returned to sender.

    4. Items to be returned must be received within 21 days from issue of an RMA number. After 21 days, the RMA is void.

    5. Item must be in original packaging and in new resalable condition.

    6. Any item that was used or fully/partially installed is non-returnable.

    7. Shipping fees are non-refundable. Customer is responsible for shipping charges.

    8. Returned items must be boxed and shipped in a manner so as not to be damaged in transit. Damage to boxes or product due to packaging will result in a re-box charge or loss of credit for that product.

    Return Policy for Spec D Auto Products

    How to submit a return/exchange/warranty request:

    1. Click the "My" button at the top right hand side of the website.
    2. Click the "Login" button.
    3. Sign in to your account using your email address and the password you created when placing the order

    *If you have lost or forgotten your password click "Forgot my password" to receive a reset email

    1. Once signed in click the "View Order History" link. This will pull up a list of all your orders starting with the most recent.
    2. Click the button to the right of the order containing the item(s) to return.
    3. Once your order is displayed click the button to the right of the product being returned.
    4. Please be sure to include a description of why you are requesting return/exchange/warranty. N/A is not an acceptable response.
    5. Once submitted, your request will be reviewed for approval. Keep in mind your request is not approved until you receive the approval email.
  • Refund Policy

    When Should I Expect My Refund?

    You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
